    European model, not for US consumption without power adapter. This radio is just like another reviewer said… it is a EUROPEAN model and requires 240 volt power. It does come with a 120-240 volt converter, but that is a nuisance. I guess the dash-K in the model number indicates European. The radio station tuning follows the European standard which makes manual tuning of FM stations a chore. The sound is not much better than the worst boomboxes I have heard before, hollow and boomy.     Wonderful sound. This “boombox” has better sound than the Bose system I bought for my husband. Panasonic lets you adjust treble and bass to get just the tone you want. Voice, music, radio and CD all sound rich. I don’t use MP3 so I don’t know how that would be. I could not be more pleased. I have tried several small stereo systems in the past two years and all except this one were very disappointing. This unit has the right sound, right size and right price.
