We’ve (almost) completely stopped throwing away batteries! Excellent reusable batteries for all the remotes, wall clocks, etc. It does run at a slightly lower voltage, so our kitchen timer seems a little more dim than with disposable batteries, but still it works.

The best rechargeables you can get. I could not believe my eyes when I’ve received them and put them on the charger. They were showing over 1.3V after sitting at the amazon warehouse and then getting shipped to me. Typical rechargeable are not that high after just a few days of sitting next to the charger. Just another proof, that Eneloop is always top of the line, while the other brands are a complete gamble.

Handy to have and easy to charge. I am glad I don’t have to go to recycle all the time with my dead batteries. Also don’t have to run to the store in the night when I’m out of that last AAA for the remote control or whatever. I just recharge what I have (although I do keep spares) and in an hour or so, I’m back in business. Economical after the 2nd use. Recharge thousands of times, and the charge stays at about 80% while stored.
